Sports bloopers!

When have you last played a sport? Were you good at it? Did anything funny happen? Well, if something embarrassing occured during the course of the game, do not fret. Because you must know that even professionals can be rather 'unprofessoinal' at times and as a result, cause weird things to happen.
Today i happened to come across several amusing (and some rather horrific) incidents that occured in sport. Some, well, are caused by amatuers that are sure to bring back fond memories of your very own childhood, however others are caused by professoinal sportsmen who erm... had a bad game. Watch and enjoy. :)

haha... this shows that you better stick to stuffs that you ae familiar with eh? Don't be that unfortunate smart alex.

There you go. didn't i say that professionals get into trouble. Even referees aren't spared!

Ooo ouch.. That contained some terrible accidents.

Most certainly a bad day. :)

I feel for that guy who proposed. Man.. thats one evil gal.

Kung Fu

Today's theme shall be kung fu, otherwise known as martial arts. This sport is one for combat whether it is used for attack or self defense. Martial arts originated from Asia however no one really knows which group of people created this art first. Still, one thing is for sure and that is this art will never die out due to it's massive popularity among the masses. In fact it has even evolved to different forms of martial arts, for example, Jeet kune do (by Bruce Lee), Judo (from Japan), taekwondo (from Korea), Muay Thai (Thailand), etc. The difference that separates these martial arts would be the focus that the various fighting style has. For instance, Muay Thai focuses on using the elbows and knees to bring an opponent down and is very violent whereas Judo focuses on subdueing the opponent such that he cannot fight back. Naturally, the latter is less violent in comparison.
Now less talk and more of the visual stuffs lest I bore you further. The first video i got below is one showing Tony Jaa practising Muai Thai in front of a crowd. In case you guys dont know, Tony is an actor who has been in several action flicks such as 'Ong Bak: Muai Thai warrior' and 'Tom Yum Goong'. O and by the way, no mechanical assistance or computer-generated effects was involved in any of those shows he did. Enjoy... :)

For comic relief, watch the clip below that showcases the ancient arts of kung fu and Indian yoga. Amazing flexibility if you ask me. :0

Now back to some real fighting and who best to present it other then the best fighter ever: Bruce Lee. In this flick, Bruce Lee is up against Chuck Norris, who was coached by Bruce himself for this movie. Note Bruce's lightning fast reflexes and a switch of fighting style to Jeet Kune Do (his own creation with the trademark bouncing feet) after being beaten by Chuck initially.

To wrap up today's post, you must view the clip below showing Shaolin style of fighting in one of the earliest practice grounds of kung fu, where modern Chinese martial arts evolved from. Be wowed by the amazing strength of the various body parts of the Shaolin monks, especially erm...the erm...midrift area.
