Finally, the post which I have been longing to write. Counter Strike, one of the earliest games featuring 1st person play involving two sides- the Counter-terrorists and the Terrorists. Beautiful and rather realistic gunplay coupled with above-average graphics make this shooting game one of the all time favourites.
There are three types of mission in CS, namely Bomb defusal or bomb planting at a specific bomb site (depends on which side you are on), Hostage rescue, and escape or assassination of VIPs. Of course, the round can be completed if the opposing side is wiped out as well (hehe i prefer this method). Scores are tabulated by comparing the number of kills, number of deaths and number of team wins. The wide variety of dress codes and weapons, accessories available make this game so much more fun and unique compared to other shooting themed games. View the fun facts of some of the accessories available in the game, courtesy of wikipedia, below.
Dress codes:
Counter-Terrorists: Counter-terrorist player skins are based on real-world international counter-terrorist forces.
SEAL Team 6 (DEVGRU) – Counter-terrorist unit of the United States of America. Olive drab camouflage, suitable for woodland maps.
GSG 9 – Counter-terrorist unit of the Federal Republic of Germany. Cerulean uniform with desert camouflage helmet. Camouflage suitable for urban maps.
SAS – Counter-terrorist unit of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Black camouflage and gas mask, suitable for any dark areas or night-time maps.
GIGN – Counter-terrorist unit of the French Republic. Navy blue uniform (with a riotsquad helmet in Counter Strike: Source), suitable for urban maps.
Terrorists: Terrorist player skins are based on fictitious terrorist cells.
Phoenix Connection – Terrorist cell formed out of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics during its fall. Based in and around Eastern Europe. Dark blue shirt with ski mask and ballistic vest, with winter camouflage trousers. May be mistaken for Counter-terrorist from afar, suitable for urban maps.
Elite Crew – Mysterious terrorist cell. Claims to have "world domination" as its objective and is based in and around the Middle East. Green jacket, khaki trousers, moderately suitable for desert maps, but more for woodland and jungle maps.
Arctic Avengers – Terrorist cell based in the Kingdom of Sweden. Winter camouflage, very suitable for snow maps, unsuitable for everything else.
Guerrilla Warfare – Terrorist cell based in South America and the Middle East. Dressed like a Rambo Impersonator, with a green vest and a red bandanna, suitable for woodland and jungle maps.
The weaponry is based on true weapons made and used in the real world, but the names have been changed slightly in later versions due to copyright issues from the actual maker. Another change would be that various weapons do not really reflect their true capabilities in true life because there was a need to balance the game. Examples include that of the GLOCK 18 pistol which lacks the auto fire mode as present in real life as it would then give the players a potent submachine gun, and the carbine also had its scope removed otherwise a whole load more players would be dying out there in the virtual world.
A fun fact for all CS lovers: spent bullet cases are ejected out of the wrong side of the gun simply because one of the designers was left handed and modeled the weapons being held in the left hand (ooo yea go leftists!) before mirroring this to the right hand, thus explaining the inaccuracy.

Spiderman theme song.
Cheerios to all!
Today I will hope to address the issue regarding my lengthy absence from posting any new articles. For any foreigners who happen to chance across this blog and want to get an explaination to the pathetic postings of this blog, here it is. As all close friends know, this year's promotional exam is drawing near- just two weeks from now. This great, important examination determines whether or not you get promoted to the next level of education and in my opinion, also tests on your ability to tackle stress.
As a result, I have been forced to spend more time doing the very thing that I despise: STUDY! Indeed, though it might be slightly too late already, I do hope to get past this great hurdle. Thus I have no choice but to abandon this hobby for the time being. At least for the next couple of weeks or so.
However, I do hope that those who wish to get help in relieving some bit of their stress, be it exam stress or otherwise, let it be known that the various videos posted in this blog and other sources would be of great help. To conclude this post, watch a video below. (Hope it helps)

When have you last played a sport? Were you good at it? Did anything funny happen? Well, if something embarrassing occured during the course of the game, do not fret. Because you must know that even professionals can be rather 'unprofessoinal' at times and as a result, cause weird things to happen.
Today i happened to come across several amusing (and some rather horrific) incidents that occured in sport. Some, well, are caused by amatuers that are sure to bring back fond memories of your very own childhood, however others are caused by professoinal sportsmen who erm... had a bad game. Watch and enjoy. :)
haha... this shows that you better stick to stuffs that you ae familiar with eh? Don't be that unfortunate smart alex.
There you go. didn't i say that professionals get into trouble. Even referees aren't spared!
Ooo ouch.. That contained some terrible accidents.
Most certainly a bad day. :)
I feel for that guy who proposed. Man.. thats one evil gal.

Today's theme shall be kung fu, otherwise known as martial arts. This sport is one for combat whether it is used for attack or self defense. Martial arts originated from Asia however no one really knows which group of people created this art first. Still, one thing is for sure and that is this art will never die out due to it's massive popularity among the masses. In fact it has even evolved to different forms of martial arts, for example, Jeet kune do (by Bruce Lee), Judo (from Japan), taekwondo (from Korea), Muay Thai (Thailand), etc. The difference that separates these martial arts would be the focus that the various fighting style has. For instance, Muay Thai focuses on using the elbows and knees to bring an opponent down and is very violent whereas Judo focuses on subdueing the opponent such that he cannot fight back. Naturally, the latter is less violent in comparison.
Now less talk and more of the visual stuffs lest I bore you further. The first video i got below is one showing Tony Jaa practising Muai Thai in front of a crowd. In case you guys dont know, Tony is an actor who has been in several action flicks such as 'Ong Bak: Muai Thai warrior' and 'Tom Yum Goong'. O and by the way, no mechanical assistance or computer-generated effects was involved in any of those shows he did. Enjoy... :)
For comic relief, watch the clip below that showcases the ancient arts of kung fu and Indian yoga. Amazing flexibility if you ask me. :0
Now back to some real fighting and who best to present it other then the best fighter ever: Bruce Lee. In this flick, Bruce Lee is up against Chuck Norris, who was coached by Bruce himself for this movie. Note Bruce's lightning fast reflexes and a switch of fighting style to Jeet Kune Do (his own creation with the trademark bouncing feet) after being beaten by Chuck initially.
To wrap up today's post, you must view the clip below showing Shaolin style of fighting in one of the earliest practice grounds of kung fu, where modern Chinese martial arts evolved from. Be wowed by the amazing strength of the various body parts of the Shaolin monks, especially erm...the erm...midrift area.

Well, for today's issue there isn't much to write about, simply because words cannot bring across humour as well as pictures/ animation can. However, a simple introduction before we continue with moving pictures would be rather essential.
I have found a rather interesting show this time titled Hard Gay and this is about this japanese guy who calls himself hard gay and goes about dealing with problems people faces today. Note his trademark vibrating hips and wild calls. By the way, there is a slight playback at the start of the show but this is normal.
Enjoy.. :) (rated: for people above 16 and above)

This is a rather cool video however the quality is slightly bad because most of it was taken years ago.
Now, soccer has been around for many hundred years and the origin of it is not confirmed. The British say that it was first played in their country while the Chinese argue that it was they who invented soccer. Wherever soccer originated from, one thing is sure. It has attracted millions of players and fans to the sport alone. Every four years during the World Cup, numbers bordering a hundred million people worldwide watch it live on satellite television and many more pay good money to view the games from where it is played. This great attention has made the sport most lucrative indeed and changed the face of soccer forever.
For example, watching matches in stadiums used to be very dangerous due to poor designs of the seats and many times, stands would collapse leaving many people dead. Furthermore, intense rivalry between fans of different teams often resulted in fierce fights accompanied with alcoholic drinks that would make casualties high and in many cases, fatal. Now, huge amounts of money have been pumped into making stadiums safer. Police have been called up to heighten security during big matches and rival fans are now separated into opposite halves of the stadium during such games to minimise violence.
However, why has soccer attracted such a huge number of fans to this sport? Well.. watch the video below and you will know the reason too.
The many tricks present in soccer is just too many to be composed in a single video itself but i am sure you understand now why some people liken soccer to magic. Also, many fans of this sport means that there will be celebrities and legends in soccer. Indeed, soccer has made people like Pele, David Beckham, Diego Maradona, Ronaldo, etc more famous, influential and richer then education could have ever allowed them. Beckham is regularly named among the richest persons in the sport arena.
Yet, hey hey hey...soccer isn't all about serious play and a must win sport. Many humorous occasions do happen in soccer. And when these do, more people are attracted to the game more then ever. Who wouldn't want to be entertained? I have added one more video below that is sure to amuse people who doesn't even understand soccer. Have some laughs people and let your hair down! :)
Play soccer, be a legend.
